Mount Ida faculty and staff may reserve the Steinbrenner Lab for classes and large group meetings. The lab includes twenty-four Windows computers for students, one instructor computer, a Smartboard, and a projector for hands-on lessons.

Since the lab is primarily intended for use in library information literacy instruction sessions, priority will be given to classes being used for this purpose. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each reservation will be approved by a librarian to ensure that there are no scheduling conflicts.

  • Groups may meet for multiple classes in one day, provided the time slots are available.
  • Librarians will review the proposed booking, and
    • If approved: An email will be sent to the requestor, indicating that the room is available.
      • If follow-up information is needed, such as for an information literacy instruction session, the appropriate librarian will send a follow-up email to propose a time to meet.
    • If not approved: An email will be sent to the requestor, indicating that the room is unavailable.
      • If an information literacy instruction session was requested, the appropriate librarian will send a follow-up email to propose an alternate date and set up a time to meet.
  • There is a 15-minute late/grace period, after which the lab will become available for reservation or open study.
